  • JUS - Jabara: G. W. Bush Has New Enemies!
JABARA: George W. Bush Has New Enemies! Sep 25, 2004 By Albert M.Jabara Hurricanes, Tornados, Storms and Earth Quakes are the new enemies for George W. Bush. Unless these enemies are acknowledged by free minded Americans, George W. Bush will soon label them as terrorists. This deranged president has surpassed brutality of all previous dictators lumped together. There is nothing left in the world to protect the weak and bereaved. On one hand, we have state terrorism waged by the use of highly sophisticated weaponry, most of which banned like depleted uranium and Napalm Bombs; on the other hand, reprisal to state terrorism explodes by individual or group terrorists. Both acts of terrorism are rejected by every civilized mind. The terrorism we face today from both state, individual or group terrorists is not much different than other forms of killings, except labeled differently. The rules of wars have changed to favor powerful armies commanded by ruthless leaders like George W. Bush and Ariel Sharon. More than 3-million American prisoners locked up in U.S. jails for various serious crimes ranging from mass to serial killing to rape, etc. U.S. gun ships did not flatten the homes and killed relatives of these criminals because they committed crimes. The Arab and Muslim nations, all 1.4 billions of them today pay in lives and loss of family unity for crimes committed by criminals similar to those in U.S. jails. Resistance fighters in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine are considered by United States and Israel as terrorists; homes of family members are the target of U.S. and Israel’s bombs on daily basis. The United Kingdom fought the Irish resistance army for decades, but never attempted to bomb the homes and kill family members of Irish fighters. Is this not the worse double standard one can imagine? Terrorism is terrorism regardless of size and intention. Individual or group terrorism will never resolve any problems for two solid reasons: One, retaliation against state terrorism by individual or group terrorists defies all logics because of destruction scale difference; two, individual or group terrorism carried out by individuals or groups places Islam, Muslims and Arab nations under a rain of bullets and bombs by fanatic armies. Individuals or groups who wage terror in vengeance against United States and Israel, do so on their own since they are not elected representatives of Islam, Muslims or Arab nations. Demolition of Afghanistan, Iraq and the occupied territories in Palestine, including the daily loss of innocent lives may have been spared by Israel and United States if Arab leaders and Muslims at large protested with sincerity at the United Nations, in street marches, or by flogging the earth over with e-mails and letters. Had Arab governments cut off relation with United States and Israel, Afghanistan and Iraq’s invasions would have not materialized. Palestinians would have suffered less also. Arab leaders and rich Arabs have no love for Arabia or Islam. They prefer to remain victims of modern slavery. United States and Israel slaughter Arabs and Muslims; they bulldoze homes and trees; they rob resources, honors and dignities right in the backyard of victims, yet still claim they are fighting terrorism. This crime against humanity is confusing me; it is enraging the Universe. United States and Israel twist, stretch and dye the true color of truth to achieve their goals at the expense of their people and world victims. These two states have twisted and warped every human principle; they have turned the entire planet into rivers of blood. Millions of mothers grieve before they sleep; millions of mothers wish they died before they lost their loved ones. These two states are actually hurting their people far more than they are hurting their victims. These two states may have murdered several millions in the last five decades, but their people will have to live with a tremendous amount of guilt and shame for many centuries to come. Having stated the real trouble facing Islam and Muslims, legitimacy to fight occupation and aggression is a right for every resistance fighter. Palestinians, Afghanis and Iraqis, even though, have rights to free their countries and protect their people, do not have the means and military power to a win a war against occupying armies fully equipped with conventional and mass destruction weapons. The scale of power is so uneven; it is easily measured one trillion to one in favor of United States and Israel. Thus, Acts of God’s intervention quickly land on earth to aid the weak and bereaved and crush the aggressor. Americans and Israelis are the people who can stop terrorism PERIOD by de-seating their leaders. Americans and Israelis can join other people from around the world and put an end to human killings and miseries. It is obvious, the rest of world leaders are not about to relieve Afghanis, Palestinians and Iraqis from their bondage. George W. Bush’s new enemies appear to have entered the battle zone. God have mercy on mankind and punish criminals. Hurricanes, Tornados, Storms and Earth Quakes could become America’s next war. I just wonder how George W. Bush is going to fight this war! If we look back at history as far as the Pharos’s era and beyond, we find miraculous interventions by God that saved the weak and the bereaved and defeated cruel dictators and their armies. Recently, several American states were hit with massive hurricanes, tornados and storms. The force of these deadly Acts of God could have caused a huge number of human casualties. It appears God has given George W. Bush a stern warning to stop killing innocent Iraqis and Afghanis and to quickly withdraw his criminal thuds from Afghanistan and Iraq. Respectfully, I call the U.S. army and its brothers in crime, ‘thugs’ because regular armies don’t invade other countries, especially if those countries are defenseless and weak. United States of America has no shame or pride; not only has it violated all ethics and norms refined and excelled by human civilization since the beginning of time, it is actually returning humanity back to a time when human flesh was part of the human diet. Americans cannot be blamed for their ignorance of what George W. Bush is all about. They are fed false information by a massive news media financially controlled and supported by the far Christian Right and by fanatic Zionists. Perhaps it is time Americans wake up and firmly decide to either stand along the side of humanity and God, or fight along George W. Bush’s side. United States of America will never be able to win a war in the Middle East. It could destroy half the population and steal the entire oil wealth; at the short end, it will leave the region with a miserable defeat. There is no magic with this theory. Aggressors destroy, rob and kill, but they never win wars. Just like thieves and murderers often end up dead or caught. The human family was created to serve a purpose on this planet. That purpose is clearly known and understood by the majority of people. The three universal religions make no mention of aggression, invasion and outright theft of countries and resources. These religions forbid us to lie and deceive our own people or deceive others. George W. Bush claims he receives advice and blessing from his god. Who is this god who enjoys children slaughtered and homes demolished? Who is this god who allows girls and women to be raped? Who is this god who works along side of the Devil? George W. Bush has recently pledged billions of dollars in aid for African countries. This strategic pledge is identical to the same aid funneled to Israel for the last fifty years. America’s financiers are rich Arabs and fanatic Zionists. It is sad; only after the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, it dawned on me that the ideologies and dreams of Zionists are identical to ideologies and dreams of most Arab leaders and rich Arabs. America’s economic engine is powered by Arab monies and operated by Zionists. Let me go back one more time to the new enemies George W. Bush does not seem to acknowledge or fear. Acts of God rain on America. Americans do not deserve to have their homes and dreams shattered and destroyed. Americans are victims caught inside a deadly web; if they remain imprisoned, they die; if they try to break loose, George W. Bush will accuse them of treason. Their leaders have polluted their characters and turned world hatred on them. American is a multicultural nation with blood extension to almost every other nation. Every time an American bleeds, a close or distant relative elsewhere bleeds. America needs one powerful voice directly from its people to step forward and state the facts: Israel, supported militarily and financially by America has slaughtered Palestinians for the last fifty years; has hijacked their nationhood and denied them to live in peace. United States has murdered in cold blood over 1-million Iraqi children from depleted uranium dropped on Iraq during the first Gulf war and during 11 years of unbearable sanctions. Loss of these children left mothers and fathers overwhelmed in grief. Today the same mothers and fathers burry more family members. George W. Bush claimed he invaded Iraq to protect Americans and free the Iraqi people from their brutal dictator, Saddam. America began killing Iraqis more than one decade before Sept/11! America supported Saddam in his war against Iran and caused the murder of more than two million people. Israel, on the other hand, began killing Palestinians decades prior to suicide bombers were born. Iraqis and Palestinians cannot defend themselves and their honor. They cannot bring their grievance to any world court. America and Israel drive young Palestinians and young Iraqis into suicide missions. These are facts, not fictions. Albert M. • Jihad Unspun - Zakaria: The UN Muppet Has Spoken
ZAKARIA: The UN Muppet Has Spoken Sep 25, 2004 By Yamin Zakaria, UK One of the primary functions of the United Nations Secretary-General is to help resolve international disputes, which implies the duty to defend the UN charter. The UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, recently stated to the BBC World Service about the current war in Iraq, "I have indicated it was not in conformity with the UN charter. From our point of view and from the charter point of view it was illegal." Many around the world including the 1.2 Billion Muslims will be asking why Mr Annan did not state this clearly before the conflict! Why did he not help to mobilise other UN member nations in order to defend Iraq to prevent the violation of the UN charter? Does the UN have any form of accountability to the 1.2 Billion Muslims, which it is supposed to be representing through the member states, or does the UN respond only to the Power-Point presentations given by Colin Powell, which subsequently proved to be another lie in a catalogue of lies? If the US-led invasion was illegal and violated the UN charter then surely it means the Mr. Kofi Annan should demand war reparations to be paid to Iraq, declare the invasion as a war crime, call for the immediate release of Saddam Hussein and all the other prisoners held in captivity and lay down a concrete time table for the removal of all foreign troops illegally occupying a sovereign nation. Finally, the UN must determine and implement measures for punishing the US and its coalition partners for violating the UN charter. This is really important; a real test of the integrity and fairness of an organisation is when it is able to demonstrate the rule of law, bringing both the rich and the powerful to its submission as well as the poor and the weak. Since 1945, the US has been bombing countries after countries without declaring war, without UN authorization, which are acts that clearly constitute terrorism at the highest level. The actions and the structure of the UN body seems to reflect a slave market, rather than an international organization. Where the poorer nations are the slaves and the richer nations are the merchants. The most powerful merchants have formed the permanent Security Council club. Their role is to police the slave market when a dispute arises between the merchants. As for the slaves, they have virtually no rights so any complaints from them is usually ignored. They are in fact ranked lower than animals. So, if they are killed in large numbers there is no moral indignation or outrage or any kind of urgency to protect the slave nations. The Rwandan genocide is a prime example. In contrast, a great deal of resource has been mobilized by the merchant nations to protect the animals as a result of the first Gulf war. You see them on television weeping over wildlife while ignoring their war machines that ripped the heads of the babies in Iraq. These slave traders, in line with the great tradition of the civilised world, feed the disobedient slaves to the beasts that walk on two legsin the dungeons of Abu-Ghraib, Camp-X-Ray, Bagram. The entire event is filmed for the spectators as a source of entertainment, then broadcast in the modern day coliseum theatre of the television and other high-tech media. Some of these slave traders offer protection services in return for a small fee. They are also aided by the international financial institutions which functions as money lending Shylocks, which helps to maintain the grip over the poorer nations and exploit their resources. The merchant nations then‘weep’ over the suffering of the slaves by holding the annual fund-raising event on TV, all designed to lighten the guilt. Mr. Annan is a good candidate to serve as an intermediary; he has good knowledge of the slaves as he was raised amongst them. Malcolm-X called such people house-n*****'s; in the Indian subcontinent they were known as ‘Coolies’ or ‘Ghulams’ and in the Arab world they are known as ‘Munafiqueen’. The extreme sections of the Moderate-Muslims (neo-mods) are also functioning in a similar manner. As each one lines up to condemn the retaliation from the resistance movement, they turn a blind eye to the naked unprovoked aggression inflicted upon the Islamic world. They have tears for the belligerent invaders but none for the innocents killed in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine. They voice their condemnation to the beheadings of a few aggressors in retaliation but a deafening silence to the beheading of thousands using high-tech weapons. These types of people often excel under their masters in order to prove their loyalty and worth. Mr. Annan certainly did that over Iraq and in Rwanda during the genocide in 1994. He was the head of the peacekeeping mission in Rwanda at that time and he held back UN troops from intervening to settle the conflict and from providing more logistic and material support, aligning with the US stance on Rwanda. No surprises there. Between April 7 to April 21, 1994, 250,000 Tutsi were killed by the Hutus, a clear genocide, which compels the UN to intervene under international law. In order to avoid sending troops, Bill Clinton buried the information to justify its inaction. Secretary of State Warren Christopher and his UN ambassador Madeleine Albright instructed their staff to avoid using the word "genocide" and deliberately thwarted any effort to define the massacres in Rwanda as genocide. Once the genocide had started, Annan oversaw the reduction of the peacekeeping force from 2,500 to 450. The UN Security Council unanimously voted to withdraw its troops, with France and Belgium at the forefront, over the protests of the peacekeepers' top commander Canadian Romeo Dallaire. Finally, on May 17, 1994, the UN conceded that "acts of genocide may have been committed." Clinton apologised later and Annan got promoted for his services. He received a second term in office which was not supposed to happen as the previous UN Secratery was Boutrous Ghali, another African, who already served a single term. Each continenet is supposed to get a maximum of two terms before rotation. Kofi Annan was also awarded the nobel peace prize and his role in the genocide in Rwanada was forgotten. • Spengler: Bush, Marshal Foch and Iran
Washington's strategic position in the Middle East is stronger than it has ever been, contrary to superficial interpretation. With much of central Iraq out of US control and a record level of close to 100 attacks a day against US forces, President George W Bush appears on the defensive. The moment recalls French Marshal Ferdinand Foch's 1914 dispatch from the Marne: "My center is giving way, my right is in retreat; situation excellent. I shall attack." To be specific, the United States will in some form or other attack Iran while it arranges the division of Iraq.

  • Asia Times - Turkey snaps over US bombing of its brethren
For the first time since the acrimonious exchange of words in July last year following the arrest and imprisonment of 11 Turkish commandos in Kurdish Iraq, for which Washington expressed "regret", differences erupted publicly this week between North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies Turkey and the US over attacks on Turkey's ethnic cousins, the Turkmens in northern Iraq.

  • Asia Times Online - Start of the Hu era as Jiang steps down
BEIJING - The rumors that have been washing in and around Beijing have proved to be true, ending the season's biggest political suspense - it was almost an anti-climax. It is official now: at the close of the Fourth Plenary Session of the Chinese Communist Party's 16th Congress on Sunday, Jiang Zeming, 78, stepped down as the chairman of the party's powerful Central Military Commission. CCP chairman and national President Hu Jintao, 61, has formally taken over and become the commander-in-chief of the People's Liberation Army in addition to his other jobs. The announcement reads like a typical Chinese obituary: only nice things are said about the departing Jiang. But nobody pays the slightest attention to the glowing words that fail to conceal the fact that an era has ended. While tons of print will start pouring out about Jiang, his life and his political legacy, it is time to begin looking into the new era, now that Hu is finally the most powerful man in China.
