PLO Executive Committee Brings Hamas Responsible For Jabalyia's Explosion

GAZA, Palestine, September 24, 2005 (IPC+Agencies)[Official PA website]--PLO Executive Committee placed full responsibility squarely at Islamic movement "Hamas" shoes for the explosion in the parade carried out by the movement amongst the civilians in the a densely populated refugee camp Jabalyia , north Gaza city.

"The Fatah Central Committee holds the Hamas movement fully responsible for the victims of the military parade [that was held] among civilians," the committee said in a statement.

The statement also called upon the factions to fully stop these parades and put all the forms of weapons far away of the overcrowded residential areas.

The parade by Hamas in densely populated refugee camp resulted in the killing of 19 civilians, 120 wounded, 20 critically.

On its part, the Interior Ministry and National Security said in a statement the first indications suggest the blast was caused by Hamas explosives packed into the car.

"The brethrens of Hams must hold the responsibility for what has been happening on the ground," the ministry said in a statement.

Hamas, from its part asserted that the Israeli occupation forces perpetrated carnage against the civilian in Jabalyia refugee camp.

The statement said "a Zionist unmanned airplane fired four missiles towards a car was advancing for the parade."

"This crime refute all the excuses to disarm the movement, considering such a weapon as the only way drove the occupation out Gaza and it's the only means able to protect the Palestinian people, " Hamas's Statement.

It also vowed "such crime will not go unpunished and the resistance will take vengeance for those killed in the carnage."
