Archimandrite Hanna to Pres. Assad: Muslims and Christians one Family resisting Israeli Occupation

The Archimandrite Father Dr. Atallah Janna, spokesman for the Orthodox Church in Jerusalem and the Holy Lands, addressed his greetings to President Bashar al-Assad on the 33rd anniversary of the 16 November 1970 Corrective Movement led by the great late leader Hafez al-Assad.
The Archimandrite Janna, from his Israeli-imposed house arrest Study inside the Roman Orthodox Patriarchate in the Old City of Jerusalem, said on this occasion that we reassure you that we will not forget the historical, great leader Hafez al-Assad.
(we extend our) congratulations to Syria for her leader Bashar al-Assad. congratulations to this leader for his loyal people.
He asserted that Muslims and Christians in the Holy Quds are one family in resisting Israeli occupation, saying we pray for Syria and her wise leadership who we are proud of for clinging to national and Pan-Arab stances.
The Archimandrite added that we recognize the conspiracies and pressures which Syria is exposed to, particularly the latest Israeli aggression on the Syrian lands, but we are confident of the country's steadfastness and firmness.
He expressed sorrow and sadness over Israel's denial to allow him move or travel abroad.
